Urban Farming Education will be partnering in the following National Science Foundation (NSF) grant, seeking to increase 5th and 6th grade Latina interest in science. The grant was written by Dr. Short-Meyerson (University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh), Dr. Peter Rillero (Arizona State University), and Dr. Jimenez-Silva (University of California, Davis).
The award was announced on August 27, 2020. It is part of the NSF Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AIFS) program.
In collaboration with Urban Farming Education, Copper Trails School in Avondale, AZ was awarded the Whole Kids Foundation $3000 Garden Grant in 2020. The garden was installed in August 2020.
In collaboration with Urban Farming Education, Lattie Coor Elementary School in Avondale, AZ was awarded $1500 to install a STEM Garden in January 2020.
